Are you a seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences? We’re seeking a Full-Time Seasonal Dining Room Manager to lead our dining operations at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa, one of Maine’s premier oceanfront destinations.
In this role, you’ll oversee daily dining room operations, manage and motivate staff, and ensure that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence.
This full-time seasonal position offers a schedule of 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., five days per week, with a competitive compensation of $1,400 per week. Consistent availability during the peak season is essential to ensure smooth dining room operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily dining room operations, ensuring excellent service standards.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise dining room staff.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environment.
- Oversee table setups, seating arrangements, and cleanliness standards.
- Address guest concerns promptly to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage inventory, food and beverage costs, and supplies.
- Implement and maintain health and safety regulations.
- Assist with special events and banquets as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a restaurant or dining setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Performance Measurement:
- 90-day performance review, guest feedback, and dining room operations success metrics.
