Financial Data Analyst

About the Job:

Fast growing communications company in Silver City, New Mexico. The Finance Department is looking for someone who can compile, organize, analyze, and report information related to an organization’s financial matters. In addition, this person will be a resource for creating analytical resources to be used throughout the company.

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing concise reports of financial data for executive management reference in making key financial decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding and experience with accounting and finance, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, data manipulation and aggregated data experience, financial modeling skills, and a strong ability to communicate financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• The ability to transform raw data into meaningful and impactful analysis to increase operational efficiencies.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Complete understanding of accounting and financial analysis principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including analytical formulas, and reports creation is required.
• The ability to create and deploy SQL queries is preferred.
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to meet stringent deadlines.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
