Wolfe Wholesale Florist, Inc. is a wholesale florist and florist supplier to flower shops in Central Texas and beyond. As a wholesaler, we are primarily a B2B organization. Our customers depend on us for their businesses to be successful. Wolfe’s also has a retail division that functions as a full-service flower shop creating arrangements for weddings and events, sympathy and daily occasions for the Greater Waco area. Wolfe's has been in operation since 1990, and the Wolfe family has serviced the floral industry in Waco for six consecutive generations dating back to 1892.
Summary
This full-time position is suited for someone who has the ability and desire to learn all aspects of the wholesale department from the ground up in order to eventually take on a general management role. The manager will also work closely with the retail manager and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Work in and manage every aspect of the day-to-day wholesale cut flower, supplies and plant operation
- Product care and handling
- Customer service including sales, order handling and account management
- Managing and even making deliveries
- Product purchasing and inventory management
- Human resource management including staff maintenance, training, hiring and firing
- Attend local networking and industry events
- Maintain company vehicles within safe operating standards
- Management of a showroom, cut flower coolers, greenhouse and a small warehouse
- Basic use of Quickbooks
- Understanding different aspects of floral design and color palettes
Qualifications
- A degree, certification or work-related experience in business, management, entrepreneurship, or related fields
- Willingness to work and learn in all areas of the business from product care and handling, sales and customer service, customer account management and collections, routing and deliveries, product purchasing and inventory management, marketing, human resources to managing the day-to-day operation of the business
- Must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, have a sense of accountability and a desire to improve skills
- Ability to multi-task, work in high-stress situations, think critically, and have excellent situational awareness
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
- Ability to network with clients, vendors and industry peers to build and maintain relationships
- Basic computer skills, such as typing and Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to work 5-6 days per week and 7 days per week during high volume holidays
- Some travel required to attend market shows, industry conferences and educational events
- Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record and reliable transportation
- Cell phone required
- Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. upon hire required
Pay
Competitive full-time pay commensurate with experience. The Company, in its sole discretion, may reimburse a successful applicant for certain relocation expenses.

Work Term and Hours
The position is full time – 40 hours per week. Some overtime work is required. Employment is at will, enabling the employee or the employer to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without reason. Company business hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
