With 100 locations and over 400 OB / GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.
The Laboratory Assistant administrative assisting duties for the Women’s Care Laboratory.
- Answers incoming calls.
- Enters data into the computer system.
- Receives specimens and determines acceptability.
- Accessions specimens for processing and / or microscopic evaluation.
- Organizes cases by matching slides with paperwork, laying slides out in slide folders, and accurately labels slides / paperwork.
- Sets up, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment according to established protocols.
- Stocks and sends supplies.
- Ships and receives pathology materials.
- Understands and follows all company policy and procedures including those relating to safety and quality assurance.
- Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
