Woodfords Family Services has an exciting opening for a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to join our growing team in Hallowell, ME! This is a casual/per-diem position (10 hours per week) during weekday afternoons.
Position Summary
Woodfords' Rehabilitative & Community Supports (RCS) Program provides an array of evidence-based services to children and teens with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
As an RCS BHP, you will provide hands-on, one-to-one support to consumers and their families by implementing an individualized treatment plan that fosters and promotes skills related to behavior management/regulation, communication, independent living, self-care, and community integration.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and effectively modify interfering behaviors across multiple settings and environments (home, school, stores, park, etc.) through the use of evidence based practices & interventions.
- Complete and accurately document progress summaries of goals and objectives, as well as other required paperwork assigned by Field Supervisor.
- Travel and transport consumers to community activities as appropriate.
Opportunity Details
- Casual/per-diem, 10 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 3:15pm-5:15pm
- $20.00 - $22.00/hour - commensurate with education & experience
- $375 Sign-on Bonus! - eligible at 6 months of employment
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in early intervention preferred.
- Must have a valid State of Maine driver's license and personal vehicle with current proof of auto insurance.
- Must complete training and obtain certification as Behavioral Health Professional within 1 year of hire.
