Woodfords Family Services is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Medical Biller to join our team in Westbrook, ME!
Position Summary
The Medical Biller collaborates with internal staff and third party insurers to provide expertise in the billing of commercial insurance companies, public schools, private pay, and Child Development Services (CDS). The Medical Biller will perform various functions including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities.
- Support the Revenue Manager in day-to-day job tasks related to all billing responsibilities.
- Review all billing data entered into the billing software by staff ensuring that all information is entered timely, accurately and has appropriate authorizations.
- Enter all Non-MaineCare billing data into the billing software for the appropriate program. With a focus on Early Childhood (Preschool – 5th Grad) Consulting, Tuition Reimbursement and any other private invoicing.
- Enter Training Department invoices monthly into Great Plains software.
- Transmit all billing data from the billing software to the appropriate insurance companies and/or payors for various services provided by the agency.
- Reconcile Child Development services within CINC software to Credible software and enter billing information into CINC for payment by Child Development Services.
Opportunity Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- $21-$25 per hour – commensurate with experience
- Hybrid work schedule! - eligible at completion of the introductory period

Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Two years of experience in medical billing and collections
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and Word
