I. Position Overview: |
The position is responsible for managing technical projects relating to new product development projects in the facility, including project management of drug development projects from feasibility through pre-commercialization, qualifying current customers/products in alternate suites, project management of technical transfer projects.
II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities: |
- Develop and support creation and management of project timelines utilizing MS project software, defining the work plan, task management, staffing requirements, overall deliverables, allotment of available resources, and status reporting.
- Coordinate and track contractual specific client and internal project through entire project life cycle.
- Ensure that key milestones in agreement with client are achieved and that projects are progressed in a timely manner.
- Communicate any changes in the development program with the customer and internal team members and ensure that the changes are fully documented.
- Compile and maintain up to date project plans, ensuring all development activities are included.
- Maintain project deliverables and milestone tracker.
- Notify the relevant personnel of potential delays and/or issues and develop an action plan to mitigate risk.
- Record and progress deliverable through business operational software JDE in accordance with site accounting guidance to ensure proper customer billing and revenue forecast tracking.
- Maintain Customer Temperature, Project Health, Project Risk Assessment.
- Present project status periodically defined by the Management.
- Utilize approved Project Management Templates and Tools.
- Lead and build multi-disciplinary project teams, comprising representatives from relevant functions.
- Chair internal and external Project Team meetings, provide agendas, issue minutes with follow-up actions identified.
- Management contracts and request
- Be the primary point of contact for the customer and ensure that good communications are maintained.
- Host customer visit.
- Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities for the position.
- Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage risk to ensure product quality. Communicate risk policies and processes throughout the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
III. Position Requirements: |
Education or Equivalent:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pharmacy/Engineering or relevant discipline required.
- PMP certification a plus
Experience:
- Preferred 5 years relevant experience to include pharmaceutical development and project management.
- Experience managing client-facing projects preferred.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
- Demonstrated intermediate mathematical aptitude.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to interact and communicate both written and verbal form in English with all levels of the organization, in an effective manner.
- A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database software etc.) is preferred.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Must possess appropriate communication skills allowing direct interaction with outside suppliers, WSS internal Managers and Sr. Management.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.
- Must be able to perform risk assessments in a timely manner and act accordingly.
- Must be able to multitask, be proactive.
- Should be familiar with cGMP and must be able to follow safe work practices.
- Ability to read, comprehend, execute and communicate English written SOP’s.
