Retail Sales Associate

Woof Gang in Dublin is currently seeking both full time and part time sales associates!

Job Overview
As a Retail Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and creating a positive shopping experience for customers and their pets. You will be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a tidy sales floor.

Duties
- Sell products and services to customers and make product recommendations based on customer pet needs
- Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Supervise store activities when required
- Maintain product displays and ensure shelves are adequately stocked and merchandised beautifully
- Utilize retail math skills to calculate prices, discounts, and promotions
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management

- Answer phone calls and schedule grooming appointments

- Check out and rebook grooming customers

Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales (especially pet related) is preferred but not required
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with retail operations and customer service practices
- Proficiency in using POS systems would be advantageous

- Previous experience scheduling grooming appointments is highly preferred but not required

- Experience using Microsoft 365

- Familiarity with customer service and answering phones

- Knowledge of large range of canine and feline breeds would be highly advantageous

- Knowledge of large range of canine and feline diseases and health issues is highly advantageous

- Greeting customers and their pets with a warm welcome/goodbye and using the pets name(s)

- Willingness to listen to customer needs based on individual pets

- Ability to work outside events representing Woof Gang in our local community

- Willingness to learn

- Ability to stand for majority of shift

- Weekend availability is required for full time positions

- Must be 18 years of age or older to qualify
