Job Summary:
The Receiving Manager oversees all incoming shipments, ensuring accurate
inventory management, efficient workflow, and compliance with company policies.
This role requires a detail-oriented and organized leader capable of managing a
team to maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy in the receiving
process.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate data entry of received items into the inventory system.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain stock accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits of received goods and storage practices.
Team Leadership
- Train, supervise, and evaluate receiving staff.
- Create and manage work schedules to optimize productivity.
- Promote a safe and collaborative work environment.
Inventory Optimization
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving tasks.
- Work closely with other departments, including purchasing and shipping, to
streamline operations.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure the team adheres to all workplace safety regulations and company
policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to prevent workplace hazards.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics,
supply chain, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in receiving or inventory management, with leadership
experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft
Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
