Job Description:
Worcester Community Action Council has contracts with theDepartment of Energy (DOE) and the major local utility companies to installenergy conservation measures in low-income homes throughout Central andSouthern Worcester County. Each home receives an in-depth inspection by acertified energy auditor to assess conservation needs and the safety andefficiency of the primary heating system. Areas needing improvement arerectified if the home and the occupant meet the criteria of one or moreprograms outlined below.
Providecustomer service to clients who have no heat due to system failures. Duties include triaging the situation andforwarding work requests to the proper contractors, data entry and tracking.
Provideadministrative support to Energy Efficiency programs that serve low-incomehouseholds. Duties include providingexcellent customer service to clients, staff and contractors, maintainingcontractor files, data entry, dissemination of energy related information, andproviding general administrative support such as purchasing and managing documentsand correspondence.
This position requires a high level ofprofessionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to make decisionsindependently
