Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, computer networking, and relevant codes such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Telecommunications Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of telecommunications infrastructure.
Duties
- Install and configure telecommunications equipment including alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and networking devices.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist in system design and implementation.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions for their telecommunications requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations during all installations and repairs.
- Provide field service support, responding promptly to service calls and resolving issues efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical work or telecommunications field service is preferred.
- Familiarity with computer networking principles and practices is essential.
- Experience with system design for telecommunications solutions is a plus.
- Knowledge of alarm system sales techniques is beneficial but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.

Pay: $24.60 - $26.38 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
