Carpenter/Roofing Helper

 

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter who will also take on responsibilities as a Roofing Helper. This dual-role position involves performing a variety of carpentry tasks while assisting with roofing projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

 

1. Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood and other materials.

2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and layout.

3. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.

4. Assemble and install wooden fixtures.

5. Ensure all carpentry work meets building codes and safety standards.

6. Inspect and replace damaged or worn-out components as needed.

7. Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects on time.

8. Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems

 

 

1. Support the roofing team by handing tools, materials, and equipment.

2. Assist with the removal of old roofing materials and the installation of new materials.

 

 

3. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

4. Carry and transport materials to and from job sites.

5. Prepare and clean up job sites, including removing debris and ensuring the area is safe.

6. Perform general labor tasks as required, such as loading and unloading materials.

 

 

1. Proven experience as a carpenter, with a solid understanding of carpentry techniques and principles.

2. Basic knowledge of roofing systems and materials.

3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

4. Proficient in using carpentry and roofing tools and equipment.

5. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.

6. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

7. Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.

8. Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to carpentry and roofing.

9. Comfortable working at heights

10. Ability to light and carry 50lbs

 

 

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience in carpentry and roofing preferred.

3. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

4. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

5. Willingness to undergo further training if necessary.

 

 

1. This position involves working outdoors and indoors, depending on the project.

2. May require working at heights and in various weather conditions.

3. Physical demands include lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

 

 

1. Competitive salary based on experience: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour
