What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Health Nurse position at WorkSTEPS?
The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) is responsible for operating an on-site clinic within a client that provides health and wellness services to its staff.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Dealing with all work-related injuries in conjunction with HSE, HR, and management teams
- Scheduling and performing direct patient care as necessary
- Coordinating referrals for MD visits as necessary
- Completing documentation of patient care per nursing standards and maintaining HIPAA compliant records
- Facilitating Return to Work process for staff
- Providing Occupational Disease prevention activities
- Maintaining and leading the clients' emergency response program and equipment, the onsite clinic supplies, and company records as directed by the client
- Responding to medical emergencies
Additionally, the OHN may coordinate, schedule and provide training as requested for Medical Programming and Emergency Preparedness specific to the client.
Qualifications
Looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse with Occupational Health experience. The OHN is required to maintain their compliance with all regulatory and other health and safety requirements.
