As the first line ofcommunication for a customer, your goal will be to provide outstanding customerservice to our clients by developing effective customer service procedures andsetting customer satisfaction goals. To qualify for the role, the idealcandidate will have proven experience working in a customer service position,with excellent knowledge of the latest industry trends and techniques. Inaddition to being an excellent communicator (written and verbally), you willalso demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Handling Problems and Claims
· Customer inquiries ofteninvolve some form of complaint that the customer service representative musthandle in accordance with the company’s guidelines and policies.
· Representatives may attemptto solve the problems or at least propose some solutions.
· Representatives may also beauthorized to send customers their replacement products or reverse erroneousfees. All claims will be reviewed with the Customer Service Manager
· Representative may functionlike a gatekeeper. Getting information on the problem and passing it along tosomeone else to solve. Customer service representatives must first make surethat the complaints made are valid and must do whatever they can--within thebounds of their authority--to make sure the customer is satisfied when theyhang up the phone.
Assisting in Sales and OrderEntry
· Responsible for all orderentry in your territory, from several marketing methods.
· Selling the company’sproducts and services may be part of a customer service representatives’ job,even though they may not be part of the sales division.
· Representatives may provideproduct or service information to assist customers in deciding about a productto buy.
· Customer servicerepresentatives may also help generate sales leads. Representatives may attemptto sell an alternative item or substitute based on availability.
Clerical Tasks
· The job of a customerservice representative may also involve clerical responsibilities.
· Such duties may involveanswering telephone calls and making the appropriate transfers.
· Other duties includeprocessing new client accounts, maintaining customer accounts, implementingchanges to existing accounts, and filing documents and other paperwork.
· Customer ServiceRepresentative will need top organizational practices, time management, writtenand verbal communication skills, well versed in Microsoft Office and excellentcomputer skills
