The Welder will be responsible for welding and repairing USPS equipment that is in need of repair.
• Responsible for all welding and repairs on containers
• Coordinates container movements between areas in the warehouse
• Responsible for data entry into Postal system for all repairs
• Responsible for picking required replacement parts for the repair from hardware area and reordering parts when necessary
• Assist Container Repair department as needed
• Responsible for maintaining established Welding standards
• Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Welder certification or equivalent experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• 2-3 years of experience using aluminum welder, c-clamps, crowbar, cutting torch, grinder, hammer, cutter, pliers, and steel welder
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisor
• Ability to acquire Postal clearance
• Experience with computers required
• Must be U.S. Citizen
• Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language
• US Postal Service experience preferred
