What are the responsibilities and job description for the CERC Director position at Xiente?
This position is responsible the daily operation of the teen center and assure the implementation of programs that promote the positive development of youth.
Primary Responsibilities/ Tasks:
1. Coordinate and promote teen programs in the areas of anti-violence and education.
2. Assure the effective implementation of grant contracts.
3. Maintain full-time staff supervision of the Center during operating hours.
4. Plan and implement youth recruitment strategies from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, and processes.
5. Responsible for the effective youth intake process and enrollment.
6. Assure the maintenance, operation and cleanliness of the facilities and equipment at the center.
7. Ensure the implementation of the developmental relationships’ framework.
8. Coordinate youth transportation to their households as needed.
9. Schedule and provide daily program activities to the YTA director in advance.
10. Prepare program reports as requested by the organization.
11. Provide effective supervision to the youth center staff including recruitment, development and evaluation.
12. Maintain effective communication with program partners and develop new partnerships to advance the mission of the youth center.
13. Available to work weekends if needed.
14. Assigned to other duties as needed
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Administration or recreation preferred.
· At least 3 years of experience working with opportunity youth.
· Must have high proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a must.
· Must have outstanding leadership skills.
· Must be able to work independently, be reliable and organized.
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to secure clearance for PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, FBI, and National Sex Offenders Clearance (required).
· Possess or ability to secure driver’s license and insurance (preferred).
· Ability to secure health clearances every two years and TB once (required).
· Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office, Constant Contact and Sales Force preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
