GENERAL SUPERVISOR
1st shift opening
1st Shift Production hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:00am to 3:30pm plus OT
when needed.
Successful candidate must have strong, proven decision making and problem-solving experience. Must have worked in a production environment where employees have been evaluated by production goals. Overtime hours are mandatory during busy seasons.
Will be overseeing all facets of two-shift operation with emphasis on powder coat painting. This position reports to the Division Manager.
General Supervisor Job Purpose
Supervises department supervisors, organizes and monitors work flow, and ensures smooth operation of assigned division through proper training of staff, quality assurance, and motivation of employees.
General Supervisor Job Duties
- Supervises Department Supervisors.
- Monitors and audits quality processes and addresses related issues.
- Assesses production schedules and recommends overtime to Manager.
- Trains and develops Department Supervisors to enhance leadership skills and performance abilities.
- Resolves workload issues pertaining to people and volume.
- Participates in the interview and selection process of certain positions with HR.
- Completes and delivers Department Supervisor appraisals with HR.
- Approves vacation requests up to and including Department Supervisor level.
- Assesses equipment needs and recommends purchases to Division Manager.
- Supports, follows, and enforces company policies and safety regulations.
- Notifies Division Manager and Human Resources of all employee relations issues.
Production Specific Duties
- Communicates with staff as well as management involving customer job updates
- Maximizes production personnel capabilities and implements procedures to improve efficiency
- Ensures the work area is always safety compliant

- Overtime hours are required.
