What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printing press operator position at XPRTAS Talent Acquisition?
GENERALFUNCTION The operation of a Flexographicprinting press. The operator will possess a combination ofknowledge skill and abilities to carry out work activities relatedto the operation of the flexographic printingpress.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS List majoractivities performed.
Set upadjust maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16" 20"flexographic press
Installs Anilox rollers plates. inks and dies intoproper stations making necessary adjustments to maintain quality ofproduction.
Notifies Supervision of needed repairs and replacementparts.
Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintainedand in safe operating condition.
Understands all the documents related tothe printing process and adheres to specification requirements.
Requirements
POSITIONREQUIREMENTS
- MinimumHigh School Diploma or GED & gave basic computerskills.
- Best candidates would haveAT LEAST 13 years *FLEXO PRINTING* related experience with abilityto write and read simpleinstructions.
- Ability to read andinterpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenanceinstructions & proceduremanuals.
- Must be able to meet and / orpass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or havedemonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior workexperience.
- Should be able toperform basic math including addition subtraction multiplicationand division.
- Must be able tomaintain good attendance and flexible and willing to work overtimeas needed.
- Must be flexible inworking any shift.
- Must be able tolift up to 50 pounds
- During theshift Press Operators will be bending and twisting while movingproduct from workstation topallet
- Press Operators may need touse manual or electric pallets jacks to move skids ofproducts. This will require pushing andpulling
