POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: BARTENDER

LOCATION: Prescott, AZ

REPORTS TO: Front of House Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

SCOPE OF WORK:
The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner to customers.

Will become familiar with the Tribal/State Gaming Compact, National Indian Gaming Commission’s
(NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), the Tribal Gaming Code, Indian Gaming
Regulatory Act (IGRA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Title 31, and Departmental Internal Controls and
Job Instructions.

WORK PERFORMED:

• This job description does not constitute an employment agreement between the Tribe and the employee and is subject to change as the needs of the Tribe and requirements of the position change.

The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position;

• Will serve food and beverages to customers;
• Will prepare drinks for customers;
• Will use Point of Sale system;
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED;
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to the Tribe/Gaming’s Drug and Alcohol

Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment;

• Must pass a background security check prior to and during the course of employment with the

Tribe/Gaming Agency in order to meet the Tribal State Compact and/or Tribal Gaming Ordinance;

• Must adhere to all Tribal/Gaming Agency Personnel Policies and Procedures;
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong orientation to excellent customer service;
• Must be self-reliant and capable of working independently as appropriate or necessary;
• Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be insurable under the Yavapai-Prescott Indian

Tribe’s Auto Insurance Carrier;

• Must be flexible to work a variety of days, nights, and weekend shifts;
• Must be reliable and a hard working team player;
• Must meet grooming standards and be able to wear required uniform;
• Must possess strong organizational skills;
• Must have an energetic personality;

JOBDES - Bartender

• Must have Food Handlers Certificate;
• Must attend alcohol training class;
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
• Must be able to lift, and periodically carry, up to 50 lbs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Prefer one year Bartender experience/education.
