About the Company:
Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. is a general contractor focused on building infrastructure projects - bridges, highways, rail, transit, water/wastewater, and environmental. YCC is seeking a full-time Civil Construction CAD Technician to join our Bronx River Parkway project.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will create and modify models and drawings for roadways, drainage, bridges, and staging, and assist with field layout. Ideal candidates should have 2-3 years of civil construction experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Create, modify, and alter models and drawings for roadways, drainage, bridges, and staging
- Create data for horizontal alignments and vertical profiles
- Using the model and project drawings, create field layout for survey crew
- Incorporate field data provided by survey crew into model/drawings
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards
- Maintain and organize project files and drawings for easy access and updates
- Learn new technology to advance skill set
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Ideal candidates would have at least 2-3 years of experience in civil construction
- AutoCAD proficiency required
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
- Proficiency in other platforms is a plus
Salary Range: $50,000 to $100,000 based on experience, education, and skill set.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Occasional visits on site, expect to walk on uneven terrain
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computers, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipment
- Visual acuity to perform drafting, review plans, and perform other essential functions of the job
- May be required to work more than 40 hours a week
