Yorba Linda Methodist Preschool is Hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant Near Yorba Linda, CA
Yorba Linda United Methodist Preschool is seeking a caring and responsible teacher to work in our growing Christian Preschool.
Are you a happy positive person who is warm & engaging with students, parents, and team members? Do you have a minimum of 12 ECE units and at least a year experience working in a Preschool setting? If so, you may be the perfect fit for this job.
Part-Time position available hours are 8:30-1:00 Monday-Friday
With substituting hours a possibility as well.
About the Teacher Role
You'll be teaming with a YLUMCPS Lead Teacher to support our preschool class and it's goals. You will assist with classroom management, upkeep, supervision, creating a happy positive atmosphere and so much more and helping to prepare students for their next steps in school. You will be modeling behavior with christian values of kindness, gentleness, and a loving and gracious attitude while supporting our students as they prepare for Kindergarten.
In the this role, you will:
* Observe children and work with the Lead Teacher to create/maintain a harmonious environment
* Help maintain the classroom
* Help to oversee activities such arts and crafts, outdoor play, etc...
* Learn & grow professionally
* Support the Lead Teacher in her curriculum and classroom plans
* Work with a team of professional, kind, and supportive staff
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A joyful disposition and love of working with children
* Ability to interact with parents and co-workers in a warm, empathetic, confident manner
* Willingness to learn and be flexible
* Fingerprint and background clearance
* A minimum 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) core units.
*A minimum of one year's experience working in a Preschool setting
* A willingness to be flexible and to be used wherever is needed within the school
* The ability to be a team player and to contribute joyfully to the success of the school
* Have, or the ability to obtain, a fingerprint and background clearance
* Have, or the ability to obtain, all required immunizations as mandated by the Child Care Licensing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
