Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented HR representative to join our team. The responsibilities of the HR representative include guiding employees through the appropriate on and off-boarding policies, following up with current employees, assisting the HR team with administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.
To be successful as an HR representative, you should have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Additionally they should have strong written and verbal communication, decision making, and problem-solving skills. This role will be dynamic and have the opportunity to get involved both in day to day tasks as well as on key strategic HR projects.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Administrative and execution responsibilities across a wide array of HR responsibilities, including, but not limited to: execution of recognition, anniversary, and reward programs, HR policies and programs, verification of employment , building access, invoice management, unemployment, timecard approvals, miscellaneous reporting and other ad hoc questions and employee needs.
- Creating and maintaining accurate employee records and gathering all related documentation and key details.
- Coordinating recruitment processes including but not limited to posting job openings, reviewing applicants, conducting phone screens with potential hires, and managing employment screening processes.
- Managing the new hire processes, including setting up in Paycom, delivery of online on-boarding documents and conducting new hire orientation.
- Act as our engagement champion for our Algonquin facility – partnering with other members of YI as well as recommended new ideas or approaches.
- Participate in the execution of HR related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Document management for our annual performance review process ensuring timely and accurate completion across the organization.
- Support HR integration items as part of our M&A process as needed.
- Provide back up support for Payroll processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in human resources or a related field strongly preferred with a minimum of one year experience in HR, or equivalent experience and education.
- Good working knowledge of HR Regulations/Processes and HR Systems.
- Ability to operate independently with a strong bias for creative problem solving.
