Overview
Youngquist Brothers LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser/Buyer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the procurement process, ensuring that we acquire high-quality products at competitive prices along with on-time deliveries.
The ideal candidate will have some basic mechanical knowledge of auto, truck and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced envirnment daily.
- Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies as needed in our shop.
- Communicate with the mechanics, welders, electricians, etc. in our shop to understand their needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Work closely with the Service Manager and Shop Manager to develop sourcing strategies that optimize costs while maintaining quality.
- actively keep track of purchases and deliveries and commnicate findings to the Service Manager.
Experience
- Previous experience in a mechanical shop or parts store is preferred.
- Strong Googel search skills with the ability to evaluate pricing and supplier deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
