What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at YoungWilliams PC?
The Supervisor provides leadership and direction to a team of specialists (case initiation, establishment, enforcement, locate and/or interstate) in order to ensure project, unit, and team goals are met and that child support cases proceed timely through the child support process.
Essential Job Requirements
- Plans, organizes, defines, and reviews work and workflow of a team of case specialists to ensure child support cases progress timely
- Collaborates with the Project Manager to set goals and expectations for the team
- Evaluates performance, identifies training needs, provides feedback, coaches and counsels team members
- Proactively identifies problems and implements solutions to current and long-term issues
- Receives, evaluates, and resolves customer complaints
- Works with the Project Management to develop policy and procedures for daily operations
- Provides guidance to assigned staff regarding policy, procedures, and customers having special needs
- Assists in conducting quality control reviews within the team
- Maintains a positive working relationship with State personnel
- Attends and participates in management meetings
- Conducts a weekly team meeting
- Provides necessary information to Project Management for the completion of the required reports
- Posts unit production statistics on a regular basis
- Works with Project Management to ensure actions are taken within established federal, state and contractual time frames
- Works closely with Staff Attorney so that all necessary legal and/or administrative documents are prepared according to guidelines and federal and state policies and procedures as well as contractual requirements
- Contacts State DHS Child Support staff, local IV-D offices, District Attorneys, Clerks of Court and other appropriate individuals/agencies in regards to child support related issues as needed
- Assists project management in performing community outreach activities and in establishing and maintaining good community relations
- Provides for the confidentiality and security of all case information
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management
Required Education
Bachelor’s in a related field (i.e., Criminal Justice, Human Services, Psychology) or equivalent work experience
Required Experience
At least two years of supervisory experience or experience in a leadership capacity Child support experience preferred.
