Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering personalized care and support in their homes or group home settings. This position requires a commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing for clients.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor and record client health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote emotional well-being.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Provide hospice care when required, ensuring comfort and dignity for clients at end-of-life stages.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a group home environment.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
