What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reunification Specialist position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Full Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of Position: Reunification Specialist is to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and ensure implementation of direct services to assigned youth and their families. YAP's definition of "Family" encompasses an array of current and potential caregivers and guardians to include biological family, extended family members, foster family, and 'fictive kin' or kin caregivers who have a significant relationship with the youth. All service plans based on the strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (relevant experience may be substituted for degree)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Knowledge of community and community resources
Bi-Lingual/Spanish speaking is preferred.
