POSITION SUMMARY : To facilitate, monitor and document family visits and oversee monitored exchanges in a Family Visitation Center.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Impartially observe and document interactions between the non-residential parent / guardian and the child(ren).
  • Facilitate, intervene, and terminate visits when necessary.
  • Maintain communication with attorneys, Guardian Ad Litem, courts, and other parties for effective service delivery.
  • Ensure visiting rooms are clean and safe.
  • Orient families to the visitation center and explain procedures before the first visit.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Set appropriate boundaries with clients.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
  • Accurately observe and report on parent-child interactions, intervening when necessary for safety.
  • Handle emergencies and life-threatening situations effectively.
  • Manage stressful situations.
  • Possess computer skills for essential tasks.
  • Be aware of the socio-cultural characteristics of the population served.
  • Demonstrate excellent listening skills.
  • Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Authorized to access protected health information.
  • Develop visitation plans and schedules for families.
  • Assist with data collection, entry, and report generation (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Attend court hearings and serve as a record custodian for supervised visits.
  • Assist in staff training and skills building for working with at-risk clients.
  • Report incidents and accidents according to organizational policies.
  • Support special events / projects to enhance center operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Arrive to work on time and ready to perform duties.
  • Adhere to EEO compliance and workplace dignity / respect principles.
  • Work cooperatively in team settings.
  • Take guidance and direction from supervisors.
  • Follow the core values and mission of the agency.

Location : Citrus County

Requirements :

WHAT YOU NEED : A.A. preferred. Experience in human services or childcare preferred. Two years of experience working with children / families.

Physical Requirements : Ability to travel statewide on a regular basis; ability to bend, lift, and carry 30 pounds.
