What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Youth Health Service, Inc?
Definition: The Receptionist is responsible for routing YHS clients and families appropriately on site and via telephone in a friendly and professional manner, connecting clients with appropriate staff through call screening and the prompt routing of calls.
In addition, this position will provide assistance to the records keeping specialist when faxing, mailing and merging documents for coordination of care and scheduling building space.
Qualifications:
a. High School Diploma or GED
b. Good Computer Skills
c. Working knowledge of Microsoft office products
d. Working knowledge of general secretarial duties.
e. Excellent communication
f. Must be reliable, personable and demonstrate a caring attitude toward self and others
Duties:
a. Answering telephones, screening/routing calls, taking messages and receiving walk-in clients, which include managing waiting room clients and maintaining professional appearance of waiting room area.
b. Maintain copiers, schedule maintenance/service calls, request supplies (toner, paper etc.)
c. Prepares outgoing mail for pick-up.
d. Copies, assembles and prepares various agency brochures, pamphlets and materials for distribution.
e. Completes various secretarial duties for YHS staff which includes, but not limited to, filing, typing, scheduling, faxing copying, etc.
f. Accurately entering data into the appropriate software for scoring results.
g. Other duties as assigned
Salary:
a. YHS offers a competitive salary scale with consideration for experience and expertise. This position is hourly.
Requirements:
a. Current First Aid/CPR training.
b. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
c. Basic knowledge of the special needs of youth and their families
Other:
a. The Receptionist position is full time with benefits Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
b. This position is supervised by the Director of Business Operations.
