Network Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer for a major enterprise based in San Antonio, TX. This role involves supporting the US Department of Defense (DoD) and requires on-site presence in San Antonio from Monday to Friday. This is a long-term contract position.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer:

• Design and implement routing and switching solutions to support defense operations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive defense information.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements for the Network Engineer:

• Over 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Proficiency in routing and switching technologies such as iOS XE, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree, and IPv6.
• Experience with iOSXR
• CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Compensation for the Network Engineer:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000.
• Health, vision, and dental insurance through Cigna.
• Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
• Sick leave as required by law
