JOB PURPOSE:
From arrival to departure the Bellperson will oversee our guests experience by providing courteous and professional service during their entire stay. Escorts arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage. Bellpersons will be expected to assist valet in times of need to park guest vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets guests immediately with warm hospitable welcome using a clear and courteous speaking voice; retrieves guest items from cars, busses, vans and carts. Grasps, lifts, carries and/or loads luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items inside the hotel to designated room.
- Navigates bell cart through public areas, guestroom corridors, and to elevators.
- Acquaints each guest with room and features and assists with room changes, reservations in hotel restaurants and or local restaurants and local attractions.
- Responds immediately to customer inquiries regarding hotel features, services, and assistance. Provides clear and understandable direction to hotel facilities, restaurants, and lounges and nearby attractions.
- Retrieves messages and communicate the content to the guests. Retrieves and logs mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested.
- Answers phones and provides information as needed.
- Reads and matches luggage tags, writes claim tickets and detaches portion to give to guest.
- Escorts customer to accommodations, visually inspects room and telephone and deficiencies such as towels, HVAC, or any other visual apparent items needing attention and ensures they are immediately reported.
- Picks up and delivers guest laundry to and from guest rooms in a timely, accurate manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior hospitality experience required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:
Valid Texas Drivers License preferred.
Salary : $24,500 - $31,000
