POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Analyst provides support to both the Accounts Payable and the Cash Receivables department. This position assists the Senior Accountant in carrying out the departmental responsibilities, including reconciling bank statements, creating transfers & ACH, approving invoices, creating weekly payable agings, entering and approving cash receivables, and contract billings. Additionally, this position helps to ensure the accuracy of vendor records and invoices and that approval is secured before payment is made. After a 90-day training period in an office setting this position will be hybrid remote.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for the following:
- Reviews all invoices and documentation for proper approval and coding.
- Processes all invoices, credit memos and manual checks/ACH.
- Works closely with vendors on any AP issues.
- Reconciles vendor statements.
- Responds to all vendor inquiries.
- Maintains 1099 records.
- Reconciles Month End AP Aging to General Ledger.
- Maintains accounts receivable through billing and cash receipts
- Bank reconciliations
- Processes adjustments through receivable software
- Entering new contracts & renewals. Sending contracts to customers for signatures.
- Monthly collection calls.
- Managing daily contract expirations.
- Setting up warranties when necessary, in the accounting system.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
The Accounting Analyst may also:
- Perform other accounting and financial tasks as required from time to time by the Senior Accountant.
- Assist with other projects and task as assigned to enable overall success of the company
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations as requested
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education/Credentials
- Two-year degree preferred
Experience
This position requires at least two years of experience in an accounts payable or accounts receivable type role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Accounting Analyst works during regular business hours in a busy office setting with occasional disruptions. Extra work hours may be required during busy times, especially at year end.
