Position Details
Zeeland Public Schools has a great opportunity for a Food Service Associate at Creekside Middle School.
The Food Service Associate will cook, serve, and clean-up in assigned area. S / he will perform other related duties which are necessary for the efficient operation of the food service program.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and serve menu items as planned. Records temperature of food and completes production needs.
- Serves food items to customers from serving lines in accordance with specific instruction ensuring appropriate portions are served.
- Must wash pots and pans and clean-up all working areas of kitchen, including floors, hoods, walls, and serving carts.
- Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers as appropriate to the area of operations.
- Attends day to day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies, detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies, etc.
- Replenishes foods, silverware, dishes, trays, etc. at serving stations; may order products.
- May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
- Attend assigned training mandated by the Michigan Department of Education.
