Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join the culinary team at our new fine dining restaurant. This individual will specialize in crafting artisanal pizzas that meet the high standards of Zenith Hospitality. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of dough preparation, topping selection, and the use of premium ingredients, as well as experience operating specialty pizza ovens in a high-end dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pizza Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare high-quality dough, sauces, and toppings from scratch following established recipes.
- Assemble and cook pizzas to order, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
- Operate and maintain a wood-fired, gas, or specialty pizza oven as required.
- Ingredient Quality & Management
- Select and work with premium ingredients to maintain the fine dining experience.
- Ensure freshness and proper storage of ingredients, adhering to food safety standards.
- Menu Execution
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and refine innovative pizza offerings.
- Experiment with seasonal ingredients to enhance the menu.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, appearance, and portioning.
- Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and kitchen equipment.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Assist with other culinary tasks as directed by the Executive Chef.
- Train and mentor junior staff in pizza preparation techniques, as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a pizza cook, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Skills:
- Expertise in dough preparation, proofing, and stretching techniques.
- Knowledge of specialty ovens and cooking methods.
- Strong sense of flavor profiles and presentation.
- Attributes:
- Passion for food and creativity in developing unique pizzas.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
