Description
Zinnia Health is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at our assisted living facility. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and management to plan weekly menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
- Prepare and cook a variety of appetizing and nutritious meals according to established recipes, ensuring the highest quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage, to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in an assisted living facility or healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
