ZINNIA is a jewelry, gift & accessories shop that offers our customers, both in-store and online, unique products sourced locally and curated from artists around the world. The store is located in the Belle Hall Shopping Center (since 2005) and is recognized as an award winning small local business. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for individuals with strong boutique retail sales experience and the ability to know our products well.
The most important part of the job is to engage with the customers in a positive manner, promote our products as good choices, and ensure a successful shopping experience.
Responsibilities include accurate operation of our POS system, gift wrapping, restocking, maintaining product displays and a clean shop, theft prevention, handling special requests and adhering to store guidelines.
IDEAL ASSOCIATE SKILLS
Enthusiasm for working with customers and our products as a Retail Sales Associate - the most important qualification.
Be trustworthy, have a high work ethic, punctuality and attention to details.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to take on new tasks, to think and perform independently with minimal supervision.
Able to work calmly in busy or stressful situations, especially during high volume holiday or event sales.
Able to work several days a week, 9:45am to 5:00pm, plus several Saturdays each month. Able to work successive days when owners are traveling and managing the shop alone part-time or for a full day. Able to work increased hours and some Sundays during high sales periods and holidays.
There is some flexibility with work schedule.
