Job Description:
The Escrow Specialist manages all aspects of homeowner escrow obligations which include Tax, PMI, Property Insurance and accurate Escrow Analysis. They will perform Escrow Analysis and focus on property insurance. This individual enjoys handling complex problems in various process areas. Overall, will ensure control and compliance with state, regulatory and investor guidelines and legal requirements are met.

Anticipated Responsibilities:
- Problem Solving: Execute and solve day-to-day operation problems to meet department and investor Service Level Agreements, Handles escalated loan level issues and provides research and assistance to support inquiries from clients or internal departments, Monitor and resolve any property insurance coverage gaps and delinquent taxes in the portfolio
- Checking Documents: Review and handle escrow setup, Review annual analysis for anomalies ensure loans are analyzed accurately and timely per RESPA requirements, Monitoring work of any outsourced vendors.
- Process Oriented: Proactively problem-solve as necessary and facilitate the escrow refund requests. Review and handle escrow setup and/or delete requests
- Research abilities to efficiently research tax and insurance activities
- Teamwork: Organize and manage time effectively, collaborating well in a team-oriented environment. Carrying out other escrow responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
- Feedback and Ownership: Zippy is building its technology and requires feedback from users (that’s you!) on our systems. How can we improve? What are we missing? We expect feedback on our systems and ownership of the process from you.
- Share Best Practices: Share best practices, prior experience, new learnings, and challenges across a growing team of origination professionals, working to disrupt manufactured housing finance.
Qualifications:
- One years’ experience at a mortgage servicing company within an escrow function or an insurance tracking service provider.
- Excellent critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
- Comfortable in an uncertain, fast-paced environment that will evolve as our technology and business scales.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and available to contribute in regular meetings
- Collaborative and innovative with a strong desire for the entire team to win together.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools.
- Proficient in technology and changing environments.
