Facility Security Guard

Summary/Objective

Maintains safe and secure environment for employees, contractors and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises.

Essential Functions

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls access by operating multiple gates, doors, and badge system.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards and policies.
• Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and visitors.
• Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, and accident investigations.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Military, Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire, Corrections (preferred)
• Five years or more (preferred)
• First Aid, CPR, AED certifications preferred but will be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
