System Engineer III - MBSE, Cameo | TS/SCI Cleared | VA or DC

** This position is fully on-site in either Warrenton, VA, Fairfax, VA or Washington, DC -- an Active TS/SCI is required, TS only will not meet requirements

JOB SUMMARY:

System Engineer III – MBSE, Cameo responsibilities include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and assisting with the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The System Engineer is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, and maintaining overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical expertise in the modeling and analysis of military systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
• Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system and architecture alternatives to inform customer investment decisions/recommendations.
• Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to define system functions and develop functional and performance requirements.
• Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop architectural views using DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
• Analyze MBSE models to derive mission threads and use cases to aid in system-level verification planning.
• Create business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals.
• Evaluate systems engineering, talent recruiting, and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.
• Suggest ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.
• Organize training to improve employees' knowledge and skills for future organizational growth.
• Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance.
• Ensure efficiency, security, and support of the organization's goals.
• Create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• System Engineering and/or Architecture & Design using Cameo
• Experience in DoDAF, SysML and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect
• Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable tools preferred
• Experience with MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, Simulink, Model Center, or other comparable modeling and simulation tools preferred
• Proven experience in use of descriptive modeling for system engineering and/or architecture solutions (e.g., building models and diagrams with Cameo EA)
• Solid understanding of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
• Experience in Cameo and SysML applications
• Hands-on experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
• Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good leadership and motivational skills
• Experience in modeling and graphic representations

EXPERIENCE: 5 Years’ demonstrated System Engineering and/or Enterprise Architecture experience using Cameo & Model Based System Engineer
EDUCATION: Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics) or equivalent preferred but not required

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance REQUIRED – TS only will not meet security requirements
