Travel Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital or clinical setting. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology and an understanding of pharmacy operations, particularly in critical care and acute care environments. The Pharmacy Technician will assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
• Process prescription orders and manage medication records for patients.
• Provide support in IV infusion preparation, adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage requirements.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to improve pharmacy operations.

Experience

• 2 years of Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmacy practice is essential.
• Experience in critical care or acute care settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are necessary for success in this role.

Pay: $1,080.00 - $1,108.00 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
