Junior ICT Engineer

Channel IT Ltd. is a leading provider of innovative IT solutions, helping businesses achieve their goals through tailored technology services and we are seeking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic Junior ICT Engineer to join our IT support team. In this entry-level position you will be responsible for providing technical support, assisting in the maintenance of IT systems, and learning to manage various IT infrastructure tasks. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to grow their technical skills and gain hands-on experience in IT services. The Junior IT Engineer will work closely with senior engineers to assist with system installations, troubleshooting, and IT service management, ensuring the smooth operation of both internal and client IT systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide first-line technical support for internal staff and external clients, assisting with basic hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond to support tickets, diagnose problems, and assist in troubleshooting IT issues, escalating more complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and setup of IT system
• Help monitor and maintain network infrastructure
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Continuously expand knowledge of IT systems, best practices, and industry standards under the mentorship of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to deliver high-quality IT services.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the completion of IT-related projects and tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all support, maintenance carried out

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

•    Experience: 1-2 years’ previous experience in an IT support role would be considered an advantage

•    Skills:

   o    Basic understanding of hardware, software, and networking principles.

   o    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

   o    Strong communication skills with the ability to assist non-technical users.

   o    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to project goals.

   o   Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise under the guidance of senior engineers.

   o   A proactive approach to managing tasks and support requests.

Work Environment: This position is based in the office, with occasional travel requirements. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Monthly Salary Range based on Qualifications and Skills

€1200 - €1600
