The Business Development Officer plays a pivotal role in the growth and success of the CYENS Software Development Team. This hybrid role blends business development, client engagement, and project coordination to ensure seamless delivery of custom software solutions to Cyprus-based and international businesses, as well as the Cyprus public sector.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and translating business needs into actionable software specifications in collaboration with the development team. Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of each engagement and act as the primary bridge between clients and the technical team. Reporting line: General Director  

 

Responsibilities:  

 

Client Acquisition & Business Development   

  • Promote the CYENS software development services locally and internationally.  
  • Identify business opportunities and engage potential clients across the private and public sectors.  
  • Develop strategic outreach campaigns, presentations, and proposals tailored to each target audience.  
  • Represent the CYENS Software Development Team at networking events, trade shows, and conferences.  

  

Client Relationship Management   

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and met.  
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders to foster client loyalty and repeat business.  
  • Actively seek client feedback and ensure continuous improvement of services.  

  

Project Coordination & Requirements Analysis   

  • Facilitate initial discovery sessions with clients to understand their business and operational objectives.  
  • Translate business and operational requirements into detailed, actionable functional software specifications.  
  • Collaborate closely with the software development team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions.  
  • Support the development of project timelines, deliverables, and reporting mechanisms.  

  

Customer Success & Support   

  • Monitor project milestones and client satisfaction across the software development lifecycle.  
  • Address client concerns, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to ensure optimal outcomes.  
  • Ensure post-delivery support and onboarding for long-term software adoption and value realization.  

 

General qualifications and requirements: 

  • University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or Degree of a level equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree) or Diploma or Certificate or other study title or qualifications in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant field. 

  • 3 years of experience in business development, account management, or customer success, preferably in the tech or software industry.  

  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical deliverables.  

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Experience working with public sector clients and international organizations is an advantage.  
  • Language requirements: Excellent written and oral English-language skills are essential.  

  • Non-EU applicants must already possess a valid work permit.
