We are currently looking to recruit a motivated and skilled Database Administrator professional who is eager to make a real impact. If you are ready to be a key part of our team at our Nicosia office, we would love to meet you and discuss how you can contribute to our success!

The role: 

• Keeping our databases running smoothly with high availability and peak performance.
• Optimizing queries, indexing, and performance tuning to improve system efficiency.
• Ensuring data security and integrity, implementing best practices for backups and disaster recovery.
• Developing and optimizing SQL scripts (T-SQL, PL/SQL) to automate processes and improve performance.
• Working closely with developers to design efficient database structures and scalable architecture.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting database performance issues before they become problems.
• Exploring new database technologies to keep our infrastructure ahead of the curve.

What we are looking for:

• A university degree in Computer Science or in any related field.

• At least three years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB.

• Hands-on experience with SQL scripting languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, and procedural scripting).

• Expertise in query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.

• Solid understanding of database security, replication, clustering, and high availability.

• Experience with cloud-based databases and modern infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or Docker 

• Ability to write scripts (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate database tasks.

• A problem-solving mindset and a passion for working with data on a scale.

• Occasionally required to respond to urgent database issues outside office hours to ensure system stability and performance.
