Responsibilities
Contribute to R&D projects from the initial concept stage to final product rollout
Analyze power converter systems, develop and assess modulation, control and protection concepts
Perform converter and system-level modeling and simulation, and feasibility and benchmarking studies
Analyze impact of power electronics on magnetics (e.g. transients on transformers)
Program and test control and protection software on real-time simulators - hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)
Develop system design concepts and tools
Support customer project tendering and execution activities
Organize and execute laboratory testing as well as on-site commissioning at a domestic and international level
Background
MSc or PhD Degree (University/University of Applied Sciences) in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics and Control
Hands on experience on at least one project including power electronics design, control and testing.
Industrial experience with Power Converters and/or Control Software is an advantage
Knowledge of magnetics, specially transformers, is a plus
Proficiency in the use of simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS and PSCAD
Goal-oriented mind-set with excellent organizational and analytical skills
Critical thinking and excellent reporting, presentation, and communication skills
Team spirit with the capacity to work independently
Working proficiency in English. Knowledge of German and French language is a plus.
Experience with codesys/ python programming is an advantage
Experience with FPGA programming is an advantage
Experience with working in an Agile development team is an advantage
