Engineering Manager

Your new job is about creating DCS automation solutions for pharma production lines in major expansion projects in Kalundborg. You can look forward to being involved all the way from design to final handover to the customer. You will typically help translate user and design requirements into functional specifications, for which you subsequently make the application program (PLC/HMI). Finally, you validate your solution by testing and demonstrating it to colleagues and then to the customer. You will be part of an international project team together with 3-5 other Application/Project Engineers and a Lead Engineer. Whether you want to be based in Ballerup, Kalundborg or Middelfart is entirely up to you, as long as you are ready to work on-site i Kalundborg 2-3 days per week and daily during periods of test activities. Your responsibilities: • Participate in all phases of pharma automation projects from design to handover. • Participate in the preparation of functional specifications based on the overall process and design requirements. • Programming controllers (PLC) and configuring SCADA systems (800xA). • Plan and carry out test activities – FAT/SAT, signal/loop tests. • Ensure quality in project deliveries according to GMP. • Document according to GMP requirements – you must be motivated to document systematically. • Contribute to creating the classic ABB environment, where it is fun, rewarding and developing to be.
You will join ABB’s rapidly growing Pharma Engineering DCS team. We have an exciting project pipeline focused on building world-class, state-of-the-art pharmaceutical production facilities. Our team consists of engineers in Denmark, supported by engineering colleagues from ABB’s international organization. We manage our projects in teams of 3-5 engineers, ensuring a good mix of experienced and more junior colleagues. Each team is responsible for implementing automation solutions within a specific process unit of the overall production line.
