The opportunity to become an Application Owner at ABENA Data might be just what you are looking for!

As our new Reimbursement Application owner within the department of Digital Solution at ABENA Data, you will be the go-to person for making sure the application runs smoothly and supports the business effectively. Reimbursement is an IT platform that ABENA provides for all municipalities in Denmark, allowing them to make our products available for purchasing to their citizens.

You will manage the budget, keep an eye on costs, and make sure everything stays on track financially. Leading a cross-functional team, you will coordinate resources and create a positive, productive work environment. You will also work closely with vendors and stakeholders to ensure the system meets expectations while staying secure and compliant. On top of that, you will fine-tune performance, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot any issues to keep everything running at its best.

Your success in the role will be measured by your ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate business needs into effective and practical solutions in cooperation with both internal and external partners. And when changes or updates happen, your ability, together with the team, to navigate these smoothly and with minimal disruption will also be a key metric.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Ownership & Strategy – Taking full responsibility for the application’s performance, availability, and alignment with business needs while ensuring effective governance, compliance, and risk management
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management – Acting as the primary link between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure collaboration, contract management, and service level agreements
  • Resource & Budget Oversight – Managing financial planning, resource allocation, and team coordination to ensure efficient operations and cost-effective decision-making
  • Quality & Performance Optimization – Ensuring the application meets business requirements through continuous monitoring, testing, configuration, and enhancement of system capabilities
  • Change & Documentation Management – Leading change initiatives, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and system updates

About you | Strong project management skills

We are open to diverse backgrounds, but it is an advantage if you from a similar position have experience with web or app development.

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, Management
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, CIS18 and NIS2
  • Project management skills, Scrum or other Agile software development principles
  • Experience with stakeholder management within an IT project – Having the ability to stay on course under pressure and navigate demands from multiple stakeholders with resilience and composure
  • You have a structured approach to problem solving
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring clarity, alignment, and collaboration

Your team

Within the Digital Solutions department, the team structure is designed to foster independence while ensuring strong collaboration. As an Application Owner, you will be part of a team of other application owners, each responsible for their respective solutions. You will have access to architects, security specialists, integration experts, and ERP specialists within ABENA Data as needed. The team refers to Senior Manager, Customer-Facing Applications, Jan Jørgensen.

Our headquarters are in Aabenraa, but we also have offices in Kolding where you can work from when it is convenient. Traveling to subsidiaries in regard to launches and implementation might occur a few days a year.
