Financial Controller – Spirax Sarco, Birkerød Ny

Are you a hands-on finance professional with strong business partnering skills and a passion for driving sustainable growth? Spirax Sarco is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Birkerød, reporting to the Nordic Finance Manager based in Finland.

In this key role, you will take full ownership of financial operations for our Danish business, supporting the local leadership team with financial insight and strategic decision-making, while ensuring high standards of financial control and governance. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys a blend of day-to-day financial responsibilities and collaborative business support.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Manage the full accounting cycle (A–Z)
• Prepare monthly group reporting
• Deliver half-year and year-end financial reporting
• Oversee tax reporting and compliance

Business Support & Financial Insight

• Active member of the local Management Team
• Monitor and advise local Management Team and Nordic Finance Manager of central KPI´s to drive decision making
• Act as a finance business partner to local leadership
• Manage credit and cash flow processes

Governance & Internal Controls

• Maintain and enhance internal controls in line with Spirax Group's G3 control framework
• Balance governance and risk with business needs
• Collaborate with the Management Team on continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors

Planning & Forecasting

• Lead annual financial planning in alignment with Group and Nordic guidelines
• Manage quarterly reforecasting processes

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

We are looking for someone with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. You have a solid understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, ideally supported by a relevant qualification, and are confident managing complex financial operations.

You are highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, even under pressure. You work well independently while also being a strong team player. With a keen eye for detail and strong strategic awareness, you are able to balance operational tasks with a broader business perspective.

Your English communication skills are excellent—both written and spoken—and you bring strong technical knowledge of both local GAAP and IFRS standards. Your analytical skills and financial acumen allow you to interpret data and translate insights into action. Above all, you are self-motivated, curious, and eager to grow and take ownership of your professional development.

Relevant Experience

You bring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational company, where you have had hands-on responsibility for the full finance and accounting process. You have a track record of strengthening internal controls and financial governance, ensuring compliance while supporting business needs.

Your experience also includes leading or contributing to the improvement of financial processes, and you are comfortable navigating the demands of a complex, fast-paced environment. Alongside your technical capabilities, you have strong commercial awareness, allowing you to align financial activities with broader business goals and act as a trusted financial partner to leadership.
