We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to strengthen our Piping Engineering department in Asker. As a Senior Piping Engineer you will contribute to Aibel's exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition.

About the position
As a Senior Piping Engineer , you will work with specific tasks and assignments in Aibel's projects as well as contribute to the improvement and further development of the Piping Engineering department.

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Calculate and establish pipe class sheets, work instructions and guidlines
• Follow up on changes to International Standards and Aibel and/or client specifications
• Assist in all technical issues on general leval, evaluate and respond to technical queries
• Assist in piping verification activities
• Piping Detail Standard development/improvement
• Participate in studies and concept development

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in relevant field
• 10-15 years experience in EPC projects
• 10 years experience in internal/external pressure calculation, branch reinforcement, component calculation, piping class specification work to ASME/EN. Experience in riser/flow-line calculations to ASME/DNV, including piggability and 5D bends is preferred
• Good knowledge of PCS, PDS, VDS, MDS
• Good knowledge and understanding of Standards (EN, ASME, ASTM, NORSOK, DNV, API), Norwegian Acts and Regulations (Trykkdirektivet PED)
• Experience in high pressure piping and steam piping preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of acoustic fatigue and vibration in piping systems
• Experience with EIS, MMD, PIMS and Pro-Arc is an advantage. Good Excel skills

• Good communication skills, both written and spoken in Norwegian and/or English
