Laboratory Manager

Air Liquide is looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our team in Pårup.

You will manage a team of three laboratory engineers, focusing on operational tasks and gas analysis. As Laboratory Manager, you're detail-oriented, value high-quality results, and embody humble leadership. Your dedication to continuous learning and fostering team spirit sets you apart.

As the laboratory manager, you oversee team planning, development, and hands-on participation in daily tasks, including quality control and analysis for Pårups plant and other Nordic facilities. You ensure documentation meets high standards set by Air Liquide, customers and authorities.

Other responsibilities would be:

• Ensure the start-up of new analytical devices and ensure stable operation (overview of the status of equipment and plan for replacement).
• Ensure the development of employees and not least the improvement/simplification of current processes in the lab.
• Be a sparring partner for other sites in the Nordic region that have analytical equipment.
• Participate in upcoming accreditation project ISO 17025.
• Ensure that changes in regulatory demands are implemented in laboratory procedures
• Plan and follow up the implementation of necessary maintenance of our analysis instruments together with our subcontractors
• Support production sites with instrument issues
• Generate internal and external analytical documentation and reports
• Schedule laboratory or equipment use time for the staff, purchasing laboratory supplies and preparing ordering lists
• Plan training activities for the team
• Develop new methods
• Validation of analytical equipment

Are you a MATCH?
Good to have:

• A proven experience of working with continuous improvement tools (LEAN, etc.)
• Trained in GDP/GMP
• Experience in managing and leading a team
• Experience in ISO 17025
  
  

Minimum requirements:

• University degree in similar field of Chemical/Lab Engineering (or similar)
• 3 years of experience from working with production quality control in an industrial laboratory
• Good knowledge of analytical instruments used in the gas analysis, a such as gas chromatograph or IR instruments.
• Fluent in English, and any additional Nordic languages would be an advantage
• Digital interest and general good IT skills
