Are you passionate about driving clarity, structure, and coordination across multiple agile software teams? Do you excel at aligning complex deliveries and improving the frameworks that support them?
Join Ambu as Software Program Manager and play a pivotal role in how we plan, align, and deliver software across projects and systems.
You will not only orchestrate software deliveries across teams and toward strategic milestones - you’ll also help evolve our planning framework to better support a growing software organization embedded in complex hardware-software solutions.
Shape the engine behind our software deliveries
At Ambu, software plays a crucial role in delivering next-generation single-use endoscopy systems. Yet our software development often operates on different rhythms than our hardware-driven endoscope programs. This creates a need for stronger structure, better planning practices, and improved alignment across software and endoscopy projects and toward shared delivery goals.
This is where you come in.
As Software Program Manager, you’ll take ownership of planning alignment across software teams and projects. You’ll help ensure that our software delivery engine runs smoothly, is connected to endoscope delivery timelines, and is built on a maturing planning process that scales with our ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive planning and coordination across software projects and long-living agile development teams
- Ensure an aligned and transparent software program backlog and dependency mapping across development domains
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that software deliveries are synchronized with key milestones in endoscopy solution programs
- Facilitate cross-team planning events, demos, and syncs to ensure coordinated execution
- Improve visibility into software priorities, interdependencies, and delivery risks
- Engage with software project managers, endoscope project managers, product management, and product owners to align goals and timelines
- Take a lead role in improving our planning process and framework for software delivery - helping define how we structure, run, and scale planning across teams
- Support continuous improvement and foster collaboration across global software teams
You’ll report to the Head of Endoscopy Systems Release and work closely with leaders and stakeholders across Ambu’s global Software & Electronics team (70 professionals in Denmark, Germany, and Malaysia).
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a collaborative program leader who thrives on aligning teams, structuring execution, and evolving the way software is planned and delivered.
You Likely Bring
- Proven experience coordinating agile software deliveries across multiple teams or projects
- Strong expertise in roll-out of scaled agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, or similar), and a track record of working in or guiding large, multi-team delivery setups
- A technical background in software, systems, or electronics engineering
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working with medical devices and IEC 62304 is a plus
- Full professional proficiency in English
You’re driven by the opportunity to improve processes and enable better outcomes—and you enjoy building bridges between technical execution and strategic delivery goals.
