Are you passionate about building solid data foundations? At Better Collective, we’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to help us take our data platform to the next level. In this role, you’ll lead the development of our core data infrastructure, making sure data flows smoothly, securely, and reliably across the company.
You’ll work with a strong team of data professionals, collaborating with teams across the business and data domains — Finance, Affiliate, Subscription and more.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Build and improve data pipelines that move and transform data from different sources
- Design and manage our cloud data infrastructure so it’s secure, scalable, and easy to use
- Work closely with data analysts and business teams to make sure they have the data they need
- Set and improve best practices for version control, testing, and monitoring of our data systems
- Help the team stay up to date with new tools and technologies
- Guide and mentor other data engineers
- Contribute to big-picture planning of our data platform, including support machine learning
Job requirements
- Strong experience with cloud data tools (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, or similar)
- You’re comfortable writing SQL and Python and have built production ready data pipelines
- You’ve used tools like dbt, Dagster, or similar for data modeling and orchestration
- You understand how to build scalable systems and think about performance and reliability
- You’re structured, hands-on, and like working with others to solve problems
- Experience with machine learning pipelines is a nice bonus, but not required
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
